The 1 1/2 inch thickness gives it a real heft that feels rock solid on my bench, and the protective coating was ready for my first glue-up straight out of the box. That oversized 24x32 surface gives me far more clamping room than my old top ever did.
The dog holes are machined perfectly and line up exactly where I need them for clamping, and that 1½” thickness means it doesn't flex at all under heavy pressure. The surface came perfectly flat and the protective coating survived my first few projects without a scratch.
