Finally a work surface that doesn't wobble or flex when I'm planing—the 1½-inch thickness makes a real difference. The oversized top gives me plenty of room to clamp down larger pieces without fighting for space, and the protective coating has already saved me from a few glue spills.

Came perfectly flat right out of the box, so no fiddling with shims before I even attached the legs. The oversized top gives me plenty of clamping room for big panels, and the protective surface has held up to glue and hammer strikes without a mark.

The 1-1/2 inch thickness makes this bench top feel rock solid, no flex at all when I'm hand planing. The flatness straight out of the box saved me from having to do any truing work, and the oversized surface gives me plenty of room to clamp down awkward pieces.
