I was worried about getting the hole pattern exactly right, but the factory predrilled holes lined up perfectly with my router base, so mounting took about ten minutes. The insert sits flush and feels rock-solid during cuts.
The 3/8" thickness gives it that solid, dead-flat feel you want under a router, and the predrilled holes lined up without any fuss. Took maybe ten minutes to swap it into my table and haven't touched the alignment since.
Bolts lined up perfectly with my Triton router base, so installation took about ten minutes total. The phenolic surface is plenty flat and rigid for a 3/8" plate, though I did have to file down one edge slightly to fit my table's recess.
