Handling 1/2" oak and even a skinny 1" strip without any tear-out has been a game-changer in my shop. The drill guide keeps the bit dead-on square every stroke, so my joints line up perfectly on the first try.

Finally got around to using it on some 1-inch-wide oak strips, and the guide kept every stroke dead-on straight. The drill strokes feel noticeably smoother and faster than my old setup. Exactly what I needed for those narrow pocket-hole joints.

Finally, a bit that handles 1/2" material without slipping around—the drill guide makes those strokes feel almost automatic, and it's plenty stable even on narrow 1" stock.
